The Dawson Chorale

The Dawson Chorale was formed in 1997 under the Dawson County Arts Council, a non-profit organization. Chorale membership consists of music lovers spanning a wide variety of backgrounds and ages who share a common love of music and a passion for singing. We love sharing our music with those who enjoy listening to live performances.

Members contribute to participate in the Chorale, provide our own concert attire and pay our own expenses for productions. The Director and accompanying instruments are the only members who receive compensation.

CALL TO VOCALISTS! The Chorale typically gives one concert per year, in September or October. Interested vocalists are welcome to rehearse beginning April 16, 2024, 6:30-8:30pm, at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville located at 900 Highway 9N, just north of Perimeter Road. Past concert themes have been songs written/performed by the Beatles, Elton John, the Beach Boys, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and James Taylor, among many others. The 2024 theme will be movie songs such as The Pink Panther, Nine to Five, Into the West, Eye of the Tiger, a medley of songs from The Lion King, James Bond themes, and many others.

Anyone interested in singing with the Chorale should call Kathy Pate at 706-531-1551 for more information. We look forward to welcoming you to sing with the Chorale!
