Cheri Burchard began her art career in Pennsylvania at the age of nine.  An impressionistic painting in her in her childhood home influenced her direction in art.  Boarding school in Washington, D.C. provided positive exposure in weekly visits to the National Gallery of Art.  College provided a minor in art history and the Junior Year in France where Cheri studied impressionism at the Louvre.

After graduating, Cheri’s art training continued at the School of  Fine Art in Mexico City, Cape Cod School of Art and Ghost Ranch where Georgia O’Keeffe painted.

Cheri makes use of brilliant and confident colors and textures in her painting.  For her, painting is a spiritual experience, and her paintings are often birthed in prayer.  Her style uses contemporary subjects and concepts that are expressed through impressionism.
