Everyone is welcome. Come learn the basics of sewing in a fun, friendly environment here at the Bowen Art Center! By the end of this 6 week class, you’ll have made your very own pillow or quilt top — and a bunch of happy memories, too!
Teachers: Jeanie Whitworth and Jan Fambrough (Members of Heart in Hand Quilt Guild).
When: Saturdays (6-week class) January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 February 7
Time: 10:00am-Noon
Ages: 5 and up. Children under 15 years of age must have a grown-up helper who stays for class. One guardian may assist multiple siblings.
Class size: Limited to 10 students – don’t wait to sign up! There will be a few machines to use but not one for everyone so you will have to share.
What to bring:
- A charm pack or jelly roll. Pick your favorite colors to make it your own! (fabric squares or strips — available at quilt shops, online stores, or Amazon)
- Thin straight pins
- Thread
- Scissors
- A sewing machine (if you have one — bring it along!)
Fee: $40 per student for six week class. Discounted for two or more: $30 per student for six week class
