Join us October 1, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:30pm at Dawson Junior High for our next performance Beyond the Sea to Woodstock with songs from featuring songs and medleys by the Beach Boys, Neil Diamond, and songs from Woodstock and the Lion Sleeps Tonight.
The concert is held next door from the Bowen at Dawson County Junior High School, 332 Highway 9N, Dawsonville, GA. Meet all these talented Chorale and band members at their reception immediately following the concert.
Chorale Members this year include Bill Arnold, Jim Atwood, Jenny Bolt, Jan Brumbelow, Kay Caldwell, Michael Hamang, Tom Harter, Shirley Hawkins, Leslie Ives, Kay Jenkins, Tessa Kamat, Mike McCullough, Tracey Osborne, Pat Penland, Kim Reece, John Reid, Anna Richardson, John Salluard and Carol Torrisi-Kessel. Band Members include Rick Brumelow, Bill Jefferson, Web Lodge, Mike Miller and Danny Wheeler. The Chorale is under the direction of Kathy Pate.
The Dawson Chorale was formed in 1997 under the Dawson County Arts Council non-profit organization. The Chorale membership consists of music lovers spanning a wide variety of backgrounds and ages who share a common fondness of music and a passion for singing. We love to share our music with those who enjoy listening to live performances.
CALL TO VOCALISTS! The Chorale typically gives two concerts a year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Interested vocalists are welcome to rehearse at the Bowen or various halls such as Dawson Junior High or the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville located at 900 Highway 9N, just North of Perimeter Road. SPONSORS NEEDED. Members contribute to participate in the Chorale, provide our own concert attire and pay our own expenses for productions. Normally, the accompanists are the only members who receive compensation. Your support makes a difference! We invite you to becoming a sponsor of the Chorale.
