Get ready for more art adventures with Mystic Mountain Studio!
The second session of our After School Art Program will run on Wednesdays again from 10/7 – 11/11. It will be a multicultural experience as we look at fall celebrations around the world! We will start with a full moon painting and paper lanterns as we learn about the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival in China. We will make paper crafts, including marigolds and papel picado, and real sugar skulls as we learn about Day of the Dead in Mexico. Then, for Dawali in India, we will make a colorful sand rangoli and a real clay lamp called a diya.
Drop off will be from 3:30 – 4:00. This is a time for eating snack brought from home, drawing, and notes about the different celebrations. The main project will be created from 4:00 – 5:00. Pick up is from 5:00 – 5:30 while we are cleaning up and exploring artwork in the gallery.
Register Now! Only 12 spots available. Fee per child per week is $200. And you can add a sibling for the discounted rate of only $100 per child. Please complete form and payment to reserve. Minimum class size is 5, maximum size 12.
All credit cards accepted. Pay online below or at the Bowen. Cash and checks also accepted. Student Liability Waiver form will be available for completion at Art Center.
