10:00am-12:00pm  SCULPTING  Join us for this fun and creative class with expert, Maria Sarmiento! She loves to work in free form and semi-abstract mixed media and turns out beautiful, and sometimes rather large, works. She will walk you through how to manage one of her favorite materials, Pal Tiya.

In this class, you will learn a history of PAL TIYA. It’s a fast-drying clay that is easy and fun to work with, and can stay outside all year around for creating garden sculptures. It’s a silky, fine, reinforced clay that works well in thin applications and fine detail. You can even add to or alter your work months later. Maria will give you all the details of this amazing media. This is a quick and fun class that will help you understand and enjoy creating with your hands. Choose to produce anything like a small bird house, platter, dish, small creature/figurine, bowl, wall hanging, dried flower vase….anything! To see some of Maria’s work, check her website at https://www.sarmientostudio.com.

12:00 to 2:00pm  MOSAICS. Maria’s mosaics are famous and she enjoys teaching this fun and entertaining class. Your final creation will be a stunning work for display in your garden or outdoor setting. Cost is only $45 per student and all materials are provided or bring some of your own glass. Be sure to wear workshop clothing or apron in case it gets messy.

Both of these classes are great for groups or clubs too. Class is limited to 10 students, but we would be happy to accommodate your group. Just call to reserve 706.216.2787.
