Don’t miss this awesome display of wonderful works from the talented minds of John Seibel and Jim Evans. This huge Exhibition will be on display in the Bowen Center for the Arts, Dawson’s historic OLD ROCK SCHOOL, from June 14 to August 15.  These works are stunning inspiring works from across America. This exhibition is part of The Bowen’s recognition to two great artists who are active in their communities.

Bring friends and family to enjoy the arts up close – and don’t miss lots of food and fun at the Opening Reception June 14 from 1-3pm with plenty of delightful pulled pork sliders, dips and desserts

John Seibel of Dawsonville creates refined photographic works. On view are hand-selected pieces from his personal collection covering his 20 years of traveling the United States. John uses his vast technical skills for personal and commercial settings, and has also added drone photography to his repertoire. John specializes in photographing sunsets, sunrises, nature, landmarks, architecture, and a variety of other sights that we often miss or overlook in the hurried pace of life – or while we sleep. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to enjoy John’s work up close and personal.

Jim Evans of Dawsonville started painting with his mother and found painting was therapy. He has now immersed himself in plein air nature scenes on large canvases. He enjoys using oils with a palette knife for texture and character. He is showing over 25+ beautiful new original fine art works including wildlife, landscapes and Big Canoe and Dawsonville local scenes including the Amicalola River and boardwalk, Lake Sconti, Mashburn fields and much more.

The Bowen Art Center prides itself in providing a cultural community adventure for all of North Georgia. And in case you didn’t know, the Bowen (formerly the “Old Rock School”) was given with The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation 2001 Preservation Award for Excellence in Rehabilitation. Visit and see this beautifully restored 1930’s building located just North of Dawsonville’s Historic Square at 334 GA-9 North.

Admission is free. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10AM to 4PM, Saturday Noon to 4PM.
