Join us for the exciting display of our next generation of artists. View this important cultural show of children’s art in a professional setting – and vote on your favorite.

Dawson County Junior High School and Black’s Mill Elementary will be on display for a huge myriad of proud parents and amazed viewers. People’s choice awards will be announced on EARTH DAY Saturday, April 22, time will be determined at later date.

The benefits of ART for youth include problem-solving, creativity, literacy, fine and gross motor skills, connection and understanding. Educators tell us that art encourages fine motor skills, neural development and problem-solving ability which filters to reading, writing, math and science. Therapists tell us that art allows children to process their world and deal with emotions in a safe way through sensory input. Kids say it’s fun.

Help us and encourage kids of all age to create!  Watch for class dates and times for sewing, painting, and all sorts of crafts by joining our email list today.

The Bowen is located between Dawson Junior High School and Lanier Tech on Highway 9 North. For more information, email director@bowenarts.org or call us at 706.216.ARTS(2787). Be there or be square. (above images children’s artists’ unknown)
